ARTIST STATEMENT:
Organic Abstracts Series:
I often roam the beach collecting any gifts that the sea has offered. Shells pounded and carved into curves and swirls, wood sanded and silver with age, glass smoothed and shaped anew – all of these are my treasures.
Back in the studio with my finds, I experiment with different arrangements. There will be a special one that inspires me to get my sketchbook. From there, the artwork takes on a life of its own, growing and changing as it travels from small sketch to full sized creation.
It looks wonderful, but I’d love to see a beautiful picture of you on the ABOUT page!
You have such a distinct style and your photos are exquisite.
I enjoyed lunch also!
Cheers!
